A tip is any information that helps law enforcement solve crimes, locate fugitives, or prevent future offenses, including:

WHAT IS NOT CONSIDERED AS A TIP?

Crime Stoppers is NOT a substitute for 9-1-1. If you witness a crime in progress or face an emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Additionally, Crime Stoppers rewards are only available for anonymous tips. Sharing your identity or providing information in person makes your tip confidential—but not anonymous—and disqualifies it from a reward.

How to make a tip?

In the event of an emergency, dial 911 and report it immediately.

Crime Stoppers is NOT a substitute for emergency services. If you are a victim of crime, you should report it to your local police department.
